Try this one about 'Showing vs. Telling', from the blog Novel Matters

Get a character in mind; this can be a character you are working on, from something you've read, or one you make up for this exercise.

As a prompt, the character must say, "I don't understand why you're arguing with me." Set up a scene in your mind in which your character says this to another character, then quickly write it down -- just get it down on paper. The goal is to just 'tell' the scene.

Now, imagine the same line of dialogue, only this time, the character is saying, "I don't understand why you're arguing with me," but what they really mean is, "I want you to love me."

Now, rewrite the scene with this subtext. According to the author of the referenced blog, subtext is a HUGE part of "showing, not telling."
